Why travelers stop here
A small fishing village located in Yangyang, surrounding Namae Port, one of the three major scenic harbors in Gangwon Province. Adjacent to National Route 7, it is well known as a hub for seafood production due to the smooth direct distribution of marine products. It is also a place where many tourists gather to see the beautiful sunrise over the East Sea, with mountains and sea harmonizing together. In particular, the sunrise rising between the fishing boats anchored at the port and those hurrying back to port is spectacular, and it is the best sunrise spot where you can also experience a sunrise from a boat. It is also a filming location for nostalgic movies and dramas such as <Whale Hunting>, <Hotelier>, and <That Woman>. Namae Fishing Village Experience Village is a fishing village experience and recreation village fostered by the Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Agency, located near the beach, offering beautiful sea views along with various fishing village experiences and seafood dishes. You can enjoy various activities such as boat fishing, beach seine net experience with tasting of the catch, auction experience, octopus pot trap experience, squid sundae making, bare-handed fish catching on the beach, and mussel necklace craft experience. Programs may change depending on the season and village circumstances, and visitors should inquire in advance and make a reservation before visiting.
