Hagosari Station

강원특별자치도 삼척시 소달길 12-52

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Hagosari Station is a station on the Yeongdong Line, built in 1966 and opened as a simple station on September 1, 1967. It was voluntarily built by village residents who felt the need for a station. Currently, it is a closed station where trains no longer stop. The structure features a gable roof and vinyl panel walls. The waiting room interior has a coffered ceiling (gomi banja), distinguishing it from other simple stations, and the entrance is not from the front but from the side, reflecting the traditional entry style of local houses. It is one of the smallest registered cultural heritage simple stations, along with Paldang Station. It was registered as a National Registered Cultural Heritage in 2007. Currently, it can only be viewed from the outside. (Source: Samcheok Culture & Tourism website)
