Why travelers stop here
Wonpyeong Farm Stay is a farming village located in Wonpyeong-ri, Sabuk-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do. It boasts a beautiful natural environment with the Bukhangang River flowing in front of the village and Mount Hwaaksan cozily embracing it from behind. In 2002, it was selected as a farm stay village organized by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and about 20 farming households started a community business. Currently, 16 farming households operate rural experience events and accommodation facilities. Experience activities include theme-based programs such as straw craft, rice cake pounding, organic doenjang making, black bean tofu making, cosmos trail tours, and wildflower experiences, as well as seasonal activities like fishing, a winter sledding hill, and smelt fishing. Visitors can enjoy healing in nature no matter the season. There are also package-type day trips and overnight experiences. Additionally, local agricultural products such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, kimchi, and fermented soybean paste can be purchased online. Experience applications and accommodation reservations are made through the Wonpyeong Farm Stay website, and the operating period, number of participants, and costs may vary by experience.
