Hajodae Unmanned Lighthouse

Hajodae Unmanned Lighthouse is a place where many tourists visit to see the beautiful sunrise, and it is a lighthouse that offers a panoramic view of the wide East Sea. It is located on a rocky cliff rising above the coast, alongside old pine trees. According to legend, Ha Ryun and Jo Jun, founding meritorious subjects of the Joseon Dynasty, once stayed here briefly, and the place was named Hajodae after their surnames. This site is also famous as a filming location for the drama 'Taejo Wang Geon.' Walking down from the Hajodae Pavilion along the rocky cliffs, you will find a white lighthouse, and many tourists come to see the lighthouse beam illuminating the sea after sunset and darkness falls. Nearby attractions such as Hajodae Beach and Hajodae Skywalk are also worth visiting together.
