Cheongjeong Sinhung Village

A rural experience and recreation village located in Sinhung-dong, Donghae-si, Gangwon-do. It is also the first mountain village encountered when coming from Jeongseon-gun to Donghae-si via National Route 42. In this tranquil village, with the Baekdudaegan mountain range stretching behind and Sinhungcheon Stream flowing in front, about 130 households farm potatoes and beans. It is an eco-friendly village boasting well-preserved dense forests, fresh air, clean streams, and a pristine surrounding environment. The name 'Cheongjeong' (meaning 'clean and pure') is attached to the village because the area is a water supply protection zone subject to development restrictions, thereby preserving its unspoiled natural state.
