Nanpojeong Pavilion

Nanpojeong is a pavilion located on Masanbong Hill, a hill by the Imgyecheon Stream in Bongsan-ri, Imgye-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. It is a wooden structure with 3 kan (bays) at the front and 2 kan on the sides, built in 1974 with contributions from the residents of Imgye-myeon. The ceiling is a coffered ceiling (umul cheonjang), the floor is wooden plank flooring (jangmaru), and benches are installed around the pavilion facing outward. Currently, a hanging board titled 'Nanpojeonggi' written by Shin Bong-seon is displayed. Built in 1974, it is a wooden structure with 3 kan at the front and 2 kan on the sides. It was constructed in the style of a hip-and-gable roof (palgak jibung) with double eaves (gyeopcheoma). The front pillars are round pillars (28-30 cm in diameter), while the other pillars are square pillars. The pavilion stands on a cement base with natural stone foundation stones, and it features ikgong (bracket) style architecture. The ceiling is a coffered ceiling, the floor is wooden plank flooring, and benches are placed around the pavilion facing outward.
