Why travelers stop here
Yeongari Valley is located in Jindong Valley, Yeongari-ri, Inje, one of the legendary Samdun and Sagari in the heart of nature. It is one of Korea's cleanest areas, home to first-grade water species and organisms such as the natural monument species cherry salmon (masou salmon), bullhead, yellowhead catfish, Korean shiner, otter, salamander, and firefly. Yeongari Valley is a small remote valley situated between Jochimnyeong Pass and Galjeongokbong Peak on the Baekdudaegan mountain range. With few human traces and pristine forests, it is also an ideal spot for valley trekking. Additionally, the Yeongari-gol hike starting from Jeokam Village in Jindong-ri follows a gentle valley for over 7km from Bangtaecheon Stream to the ridge where the Baekdudaegan passes. From there, you can continue along the Baekdudaegan toward Jochimnyeong Pass or Guryongnyeong Pass, or hike to Achimgari-gol and Galcheon-ri.
