Why travelers stop here
Myeoncheonji (Wondongji) is a flatland-type reservoir built in 1959, with abundant water sources, making it an all-weather fishing spot that has never dried up even during droughts. The bottom is formed of soft soil, creating many weed zones, providing good conditions as a habitat for crucian carp. In early spring, due to low water temperatures, you should target shallow areas exposed to sunlight and weed zones. A single-hook rig with earthworm bait is common. Key points include the area from the embankment right side behind the restaurant, where weeping willows are submerged in the rice paddy bank, and the upper lower part. The left side of the embankment with many bushes also yields large crucian carp. The embankment is an area where you can enjoy a good catch count, suitable for beginners or women. Additionally, the embankment area offers convenient accommodation and meals. Most of the fishing spot is adjacent to rice paddies, so wearing boots and targeting reed and weed zones on the paddy banks may yield trophy-sized fish.
