Kim Taek-jun's House

Kim Taek-jun's House is located at the highest point in the village, with a hill behind it. The exact date of construction is unknown, but it is estimated to be about 200 years old, and it is currently inhabited by descendants of the Gyeongju Kim clan. The house is a typical double house (gyeopjip) in an H-shape, consisting of an inner quarters (anchae), a men's quarters (sarangchae), and auxiliary buildings. The inner quarters and men's quarters have ornate hip-and-gable roofs (palgakjibung) shaped like the Chinese character '八', while the auxiliary buildings have simple gable roofs (matbaejibung) shaped like the character '人'. The inner quarters has six rooms arranged in a row, with a side room on the right connecting to the men's quarters. The two bays of the men's quarters have a wooden veranda on the outside, used as a connecting passage. To the left of the inner quarters is the kitchen, with a storage shed and cowshed attached in front. The room adjacent to the kitchen is a shrine (sadang) where ancestral tablets are enshrined. On the left side of the courtyard, an old well remains, and at the back, there is a small cold storage cave of about 0.5 pyeong, dug into the hill and lined with stone walls.
