Bongpo Port

Bongpo-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, was called Gwangpo before the Japanese colonial period, and the area beyond the mountain was called Bonghyeon. In 1914, when the two villages were merged, it began to be called 'Bongpo-ri' by taking the 'Bong' from Bonghyeon and the 'Po' from Gwangpo. Bongpo Port, located here, is a small port where about 50 boats come and go, and it is the livelihood of the fishermen of Bongpo-ri. It is not large, but it is a cozy port that serves as a very large resting place. At Bongpo Port, a small fishing port, there are 5 vessels under 1 ton and 28 vessels from 1 ton to under 5 tons, and recently, tourists visiting the sea on weekends have been continuously coming. This is because various leisure activities such as fishing and skin scuba diving are taking place.
