Ayajin Port

Ayajin Port, located in Ayajin-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, was designated as a national port on December 21, 1971. This place is uniquely divided into two areas. Ayajin was originally called 'Daeayajin,' but during the Japanese colonial period, the Japanese prohibited the use of the character 'Dae' (大), so it was changed to Ayajin. The rocky coastline around the port is good for fishing. The main fish species at Ayajin Port are sand lance, puffer fish, sandfish, and Pacific saury. When waves crash against the rocks, the sight is like a painting, attracting many tourists.
