Mokdong Sports Complex

Mokdong Sports Complex in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul is a comprehensive sports complex built with the purpose of expanding the base of recreational sports and revitalizing amateur baseball, among other activities. Construction began in 1987 with a baseball field in the western part of Seoul, followed by the main stadium and an indoor ice rink. Generally, 'Mokdong Stadium' refers to the main stadium, which primarily hosts track and field events, soccer competitions, and various sports events. The baseball field hosts professional baseball games as well as amateur baseball games for elementary, middle, high school, and university levels. The ice rink hosts ice hockey, figure skating, and other ice-related competitions and cultural performances. The multipurpose stadium can accommodate soft baseball and futsal games. Auxiliary facilities include an indoor shooting range and a fitness club, and the central plaza provides a resting space for citizens, including morning exercise areas.
