Why travelers stop here
Bukhansan Dulle-gil is a low-altitude horizontal walking trail created by connecting and refining existing paths to allow a gentle walk along the foothills of Bukhansan. Of the total 71.5 km, 45.7 km of the trail, including the Seoul section and Uiryeong-gil, was opened on September 7, 2010, and the remaining 25.8 km section was opened on June 30, 2011. The Dulle-gil, where people and nature become one, consists of 21 themes in the forms of water paths, dirt paths, forest paths, and village walking trails. It is a trail that anyone can easily use, preserving our precious nature and allowing experiences of history, culture, and ecology. Among the 21 themes, Section 10, Naesimyo-gil, is a path where you can rediscover the roles and lives of eunuchs who served the king like shadows, valuing loyalty as their lives. In this section, you can also see the site of 'Yeogiso', the trace of a gisaeng who, waiting for her lover mobilized during the construction of Bukhansanseong Fortress, could not meet him and drowned in a pond. Additionally, you can encounter 'Dulle-gyo', an 8-meter-high bridge with a stepping board that gives a thrilling feeling. The total distance is 3.5 km, and it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
