Why travelers stop here
Airport Village is located at the end of Yeongjong Island, past Incheon International Airport. This place is known for its nutritious oyster rice, seafood scallion pancake, and clam kalguksu (hand-cut noodle soup). In particular, the nutritious oyster rice is served in a stone pot with plump oysters generously placed on top of the rice; when mixed with the seasoned soy sauce that comes with it, you can enjoy a savory and slightly salty taste of the sea, making it a special dish. The clam kalguksu has a refreshing broth that is enjoyed by people of all ages, and since clams and scallops are added together, the broth is both sweet and refreshing. By eating the thick seafood scallion pancake, a bowl of nurungji dongdongju (fermented rice punch), and clam kalguksu, you can experience all the flavors of the sea. Other menu items include soy sauce marinated crab, braised hairtail, and flower crab soup. Airport Village is a single-story building with a noticeable large yellow sign, and its interior is similar to that of a typical Korean restaurant with ondol (underfloor heating) and tables.
