Located within Gwanggyo History Park alongside historical sites such as the Tomb of Sim On and the Tomb of Hyeryeong-gun, the museum serves as a cultural space for Suwon citizens to enjoy both learning and relaxation. It also exhibits artifacts from prehistoric times to the modern and contemporary periods excavated from the Gwanggyo New Town development area, allowing visitors to explore diverse history and culture, and to experience history and culture through donated artifacts. The Children's Experience Room provides opportunities for young children to encounter and understand the displayed artifacts in various ways, making it a popular weekend family outing destination.
