Gimpo Tea Ceremony Museum is a private museum specializing in traditional tea ceremonies, opened to shed new light on the history of Korean tea culture. Situated on a site of about 10,000 pyeong, it features auxiliary facilities such as a sculpture park, an exhibition of eight-province earthenware jars, and a gallery. Behind the museum, a dense forest surrounds it like a folding screen, creating a picturesque atmosphere. It is a complex cultural and artistic space that recreates the living etiquette and history of tea culture, and to satisfy the cultural needs of the general public, it plans and displays various special exhibitions about two to three times a year, hosting diverse cultural events and performances. Children, adolescents, ordinary citizens, and foreigners can receive education in tea ceremony and traditional etiquette experiences that aid in character development, and there are pavilions, an ecological pond, and a grass garden for relaxation amidst nature. Traditional folk games (such as tuho, jegichagi, and yutnori) can also be experienced.
