Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Cheongseokgol is a place where a full Korean table is set with rice made from high-quality Yeoju rice, along with a main dish and seasonal herbs. The signature menu is the countryside mugwort pancake, filled with the fragrant scent of mugwort. When ordering a main dish, raw mushrooms and salted sesame oil sauce are served as a starter. The mushrooms dipped in the house-made sesame oil sauce whet the appetite. Additionally, when ordering samgyeopsal (pork belly), the owner provides mushrooms grown personally and refills are available. The stir-fried pork (jeyuk bokkeum) is made with thickly sliced gabrisal (pork shoulder) meat, seasoned without any off-putting smells, and is tender with a well-absorbed sweet and spicy seasoning. Various side dishes, including deodeok (deodeok root) salad, are clean and refreshing.
