Why travelers stop here
Bogwangjeong Garden is a native chicken dish specialty restaurant located in Okcheon-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. It has been operating in the same location with the same menu for a long time. All food served to customers is cooked using ingredients grown directly by the owner. The native chickens are raised in the mountain behind the valley, the rice is grown in the paddy field next to the village hall, the kimchi is made from cabbage grown in the garden, and the greens are from the garden next to the valley. Unlike other restaurants that use roosters, Bogwangjeong uses only hens raised in the back mountain. Signature menu items include stir-fried native chicken soup, seasoned duck, and boiled chicken. It is a restaurant recognized by Baek Jong-won's 3 Great Kings, and the dish is fully cooked in the kitchen and then simmered on a low flame at the table. After finishing, fried rice is recommended as a final meal. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant, available for free use.
