Why travelers stop here
Café de Maupassant is located in Cheongpyeong, Gapyeong County, and is a famous spot for its view overlooking the Bukhangang River. In spring, the surrounding Samhwa-ri cherry blossom path in Gapyeong bursts into brilliant bloom, making it a great place for an outing. The name pays homage to Guy de Maupassant, author of works such as A Woman's Life and The Necklace, and many of Maupassant's books are available for reading in the café. It features warm and soft interior spaces on the first and second floors, a breezy terrace, and a meticulously maintained outdoor garden that showcases beautiful scenery in all four seasons. Across the road from the café, there is a walking path where you can stroll while overlooking the Bukhangang River, allowing for a leisurely moment. The parking lot is spacious and convenient. Additionally, you can enjoy a latte made with Gapyeong pine nuts, ssanghwa-cha (herbal tea) brewed in a cast iron pot with more than ten natural herbs, and healthy and delicious pyeong-tteok made from Sancheong rice. Like a typical café, it also sells coffee, fresh fruit juices, cakes, and other desserts, so you can choose according to your taste. ※ Pets not allowed
