National Dutasan Natural Recreation Forest

National Dutasan Natural Recreation Forest is a mountain-type natural recreation forest located on the slopes of Dutasan (elevation 1,357m), which lies on the border between Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun and Jeongseon-gun in Gangwon-do. Situated in the mountains, Dutasan Natural Recreation Forest operates 21 accommodation facilities consisting of forest houses, recreation lodges, and row houses, as well as 20 campsites for 5 people each. In the accommodation facilities, campfires and firewood are prohibited, and barbecue use is only allowed outside the rooms or at the campsites. During the spring and fall forest fire caution periods, outdoor barbecues are also prohibited, so it is advisable to check the weather conditions and usage rules before visiting. The experience programs consist of wood culture experiences such as making sotdae (traditional wooden poles) and wooden necklaces, as well as forest experience programs including seonbi (scholar) tuho (arrow throwing) games and fruit marble games.
