Dangwan Park

A park located in Gwonseol-dong, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, equipped with a soccer field with artificial turf, tennis courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, and a foot volleyball court. A 400m running track is installed around the soccer field, providing a space for running or walking. Next to the foot volleyball court, a tower of military merit (Mugongtap) was erected in 2013 to honor the veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War from the Wonju area who died in combat. A commemorative sculpture titled 'Chiak's Grand Ambition' (Chiak-ui Ungji) celebrating 'Farmers' Day' is also installed in the park. As there are many apartment complexes around the park, concerts and flea markets are sometimes held in the plaza.
