Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
A quiet beach with a total length of 400m located east of the Tongil Security Park. It is a place of natural beauty with a white, fine sandy beach and Musongdae, which is connected to the land. Musongdae is a small island on the beach, named for its dense pine trees. The sunrise against the island is very beautiful, but it is currently off-limits. Based on the beach leading to Musongdae, the sea splits into two areas: on one side, you can collect sea urchins, whelks, and conches, and enjoy snorkeling. On the other side, you can go boating and swimming on the crescent-shaped beach. There is a round rock on the beach marked as the baseline point for territorial waters. From this point, Korea's territorial waters begin. There are not many vacationers, so it is quiet, and buses terminate at the depot in front of this place, making public transportation easy. In addition, Goseong Geumgangsan Condo and private lodgings are nearby, making accommodation convenient, and it is adjacent to the Unification Observatory, where you can see Mount Geumgang.
