Deoksangigyegok Valley

Deoksangi Valley is a 12km-long valley located in Deoksangi-ri, Jeongseon-eup. It is surrounded by 100m-high layered cliffs that form a screen-like landscape, with the secluded Deoksangi Village situated in the middle. The most distinctive feature of Deoksangi Valley is its layered cliffs over 100m high, formed over hundreds of millions of years by tectonic movements and weathering, creating a spectacular sight. The valley has several large and small waterfalls, including the 40m-high Yongsopokpo Falls at the upper part, which is the highlight of Deoksangi Valley, along with numerous pools that add to the valley's charm. Nangmoam Rock in the upper section resembles a reclining woman, while Seokbulam Rock in the middle section is famous for its seated Buddha shape. It has been featured in the '1 Night 2 Days' program and is known as a trekking course along the waterway. Walking along the various trekking trails built along the valley allows visitors to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. Nearby attractions include Deoksan Provincial Park and Deoksan Hot Springs, and there is a forest bookstore run by a children's book author, offering a journey that combines nature and culture.
