강원특별자치도 정선군 정선읍 오반동길 470

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Opened in July 2015 to mark the Year of the Sheep, Jeongseon Yangtte Ranch is a place where the blue grasslands spread across an altitude of 860m above sea level harmonize with pure white sheep. As the largest sheep ranch in Korea, it boasts an expansive pasture of about 224,000 square meters and raises around 200 sheep. Originally named Hwangwoo Ranch, it is operated by CEO Kim Jeong-tae, who has been in the livestock industry for over 30 years. In addition to sheep, the ranch grazes 80 Korean cattle and raises goats, donkeys, rabbits, peacocks, chickens, hedgehogs, and hamsters, offering visitors the chance to observe animals and participate in feeding experiences. Around the ranch, there are hiking trails that ascend up to 1,100m above sea level and a forest bathing area where natural sterilizing phytoncides and negative ions are generated, making it a place of rest for both body and mind.
