Why travelers stop here

Yangyang Dunjeon Valley is a valley known as a natural paradise, formed along the waterway that originates from the eastern foothills of Daecheongbong Peak in Seoraksan Mountain and flows into the East Sea. Although the valley is named Dunjeon, its waterway flows through Dunjeon-ri, Gangok-ri, and Seokgyo-ri. The reservoir within Dunjeon Valley, nestled among high mountains and clear waters, is home to various freshwater fish such as mountain trout, attracting many visitors who come to enjoy fishing. Dunjeon Valley also offers various tourist attractions to enjoy together, including the Three-Story Stone Pagoda at Jinjeonsa Temple Site, the Stupa of Jinjeonsa Temple, Yeongheolsa Temple, Yangyang Hyanggyo, Yangyang Namdaecheon Stream, and Naksansa Temple. The Three-Story Stone Pagoda at Jinjeonsa Temple Site, designated as a National Treasure, is a 5-meter-high granite pagoda built during the reign of King Gyeongae in the late Silla period. Its carving techniques are very delicate and excellent, showcasing the typical stone pagoda style of the Unified Silla period. In addition, trekking in Dunjeon Valley offers hiking courses that allow you to ascend the surrounding Songamsan Mountain, Hwachaebong Peak, and Daecheongbong Peak in Seoraksan Mountain, where you can enjoy the quiet and beautiful nature.
