Jiam Valley

Jiam Valley is located in Jiam-ri, Sabuk-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, and is a valley that stretches from the middle of Hwaaksan Mountain, which forms the border between Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do, to Chuncheon Lake. The water flowing down from the middle of Hwaaksan Mountain is known for being cold and clean, so in summer, many visitors come here to escape the heat. Jiam Valley has a moderately deep and wide water area with almost no current, making it ideal for children to play. Around the valley, there are private lodgings, pensions, and campsites, making it a great place to relax while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery. Nearby attractions include Jipdarigol Natural Recreation Forest, which boasts a natural forest of broad-leaved trees, and Lee Sang-won Art Museum.
