Why travelers stop here
Inje Jangsudae is a mountain lodge located near the starting point of the Daeseungryeong hiking trail, past Oknyeotang and Haneulbyeok from Hangyeryeong in Inner Seoraksan. This building was constructed to console the spirits of soldiers who fell in the Battle of Seoraksan during the Korean War and to commemorate the great victory of the Seorak battle. It is now used as a resting place and lodge for tourists and hikers visiting Hangyeryeong, Haneulbyeok, and Daeseungpokpo Falls in Seoraksan.
Located amidst spectacular rock formations and towering pine trees, this area is surrounded by famous tourist attractions such as Daeseungpokpo Falls, Oknyeotang, Gamatang, and Hangyesanseong Fortress. The scenery is so beautiful that some tourists visit this place exclusively. The highlight of the Jangsudae course is undoubtedly Daeseungpokpo Falls, which boasts such exquisite scenery that it is considered one of Korea's three major waterfalls, along with Bakyeon Falls in Gaeseong and Guryong Falls in Geumgangsan.
