Lee Hyo-seok Gasan Park

Lee Hyo-seok Gasan Park is located within the Lee Hyo-seok Culture and Arts Village, a space that showcases the literary world of Lee Hyo-seok at a glance. Originally, this site housed a village shrine where rituals were held every March and October to pray for the village's well-being and abundance, but it was removed and Gasan Park was established in 1991. The park features a wild pear tree that is over 150 years old, and a memorial ceremony for Lee Hyo-seok is held here every year. Additionally, every September, when the buckwheat flowers are in full bloom, the Hyoseok Cultural Festival is held, and the area transforms into a festival ground filled with visitors who come to remember and visit this place, which served as the beautiful backdrop for his novel.
