Yangyang Energy Farm

Yangyang Energy Farm is a place that promotes the pumped-storage power plant located in Yeongdeok-ri, Seo-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do. Pumped-storage power generation is a method that does not discard the water used for power generation but stores it in a lower reservoir and then pumps it back up for reuse. Yangyang Energy Farm is located about a 20-minute drive from Naksan Beach. The promotional hall consists of the first and second floors, where visitors can examine the principles of pumped-storage power generation and learn about the process through hands-on exhibits. There is an energy experience zone where visitors can experience the energy generation process using solar heat, water temperature differences, and wind energy through Solar Pool, Water Pool, and Inter Pool. At the exit, visitors can take commemorative photos with the pumped-storage power plant in the background.
