It is located in the middle of the hiking trail connecting Taebaeksan Mountain and Hambaeksan Mountain. It is also very close to Hwabangjae. Near Deunggwangsa Temple, there are Hambaeksan Mountain, Taebaeksan Mountain, and Jangsan Mountain, which are famous for hiking. It is recommended to wear sneakers or hiking boots. Since it is surrounded by mountains, the way up is steep. However, as Hambaeksan and Taebaeksan are representative winter hiking destinations, it is not a bad idea to set aside a day and go on a hiking course. In particular, the snowy scenery of Hambaeksan is one of the Eight Scenic Views of Taebaek, and it is also a mountain considered sacred in Korea. Therefore, besides Deunggwangsa Temple, there are many temples scattered in various places.
