Gawon Wetland Ecological Nature Park

Gawon Wetland Ecological Nature Park was formed when pits created in the 1970s as muddy water retention facilities during the extraction of clay, a raw material for cement, evolved over many years into a natural wetland inhabited by diverse flora and fauna. It was established with the purpose of preserving the biological habitats of Gawon Wetland, which boasts diverse vegetation and an excellent natural environment, and developing it into a space for citizens' culture, rest, and nature observation learning, thereby contributing to wetland conservation and the construction of an ecological city.
