Gyoam Beach

Gyoam-ri Beach is called the No. 1 beach of Mount Geumgang. Its 1km-long white sand beach has a gentle slope and good sand quality. Toward Gyoam Port, beyond the breakwater, there is Cheonhakjeong Pavilion in a pine forest under the mountain, and 3km to the south is Cheongganjeong Pavilion, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Gwandong, allowing visitors to enjoy both swimming and outstanding natural scenery. Looking toward Gyoam Beach from nearby Munam Port, one can see Seoraksan Mountain and Ulsanbawi Rock beyond the beach, displaying their magnificent beauty like a panoramic photo. The swimming area along the coast is narrow, so caution is required not to cross the swimming limit line. Located adjacent to the coastal road, there is a watersports company offering scuba diving nearby, making it a place where visitors can enjoy scuba diving to appreciate the beauty of the underwater world.
