Why travelers stop here
A hot spring located in the northern part of Donghae-si, Gangwon-do, at the foot of Mangunsan Mountain. It is about a 12-minute drive from Yeongdong Line and KTX Mukho Station, and about a 5-minute drive from Yeongdong Line Mangsang Station. The hot spring, situated within a senior welfare facility of the same name, is managed together with Donghae Saemmul Co., Ltd., ensuring clean water quality. Also called 'Donghae Yakcheon Hot Spring,' this hot spring is a sodium bicarbonate spring at 26.5℃. Rich in sodium, calcium, and magnesium, the hot spring contains a large amount of minerals with healing effects. There are six types of hot springs. Hot bath, hot water bath, and cold bath are basic, and it also has deep seawater bath, red clay bath, and underwater massage bath, allowing you to relieve accumulated fatigue by alternating between various hot springs. The deep seawater bath uses clear seawater from the East Sea, and the red clay bath helps with blood circulation and skin beauty. Four saunas—jade sauna, amethyst sauna, salt sauna, and red clay sauna—help you sweat out toxins from the body. The outdoor hot spring pool, open in summer, is popular among family travelers as it allows you to enjoy both hot spring bathing and water play.
