Why travelers stop here
Mangsang Beach is a national tourist site located about 3km north of Mukho Port, and along with nearby Okgye and Gyeongpo, it is a famous tourist destination on the east coast. It boasts the widest and most pleasant environment among east coast beaches, with a wide sandy beach, dense pine forest (20-30 years old), clean seawater, and shallow water depth (slope 2-4 degrees, average water depth 0.5-1.5m). It is well-equipped with parking lots, camping grounds, shower facilities, public restrooms, and various convenience facilities, making it convenient for tourists to use.

An auto camping site is located right above the beach, popular with family tourists. Nearby attractions include Cheongok Natural Cave, Mureung Valley, and Chumchon Rock (Candle Rock), as well as a series of simple beaches to the south (Nobong, Daejin, Eodal, Hanseom, Gamchu, Chumchon Beach). Along with nearby Mukho Port, it is one of the coastal tourist spots connecting Gangneung and Samcheok, and it exudes abundance and generosity with rich seafood such as squid, conch, sea cucumber, sea squirt, and halibut.
