Gaeyari Recreation Area

A riverside recreation area located in Gaeya-ri, Seo-myeon, Hongcheon-gun. It features the 8km-long 'Gaeya Riverside Green Trail,' a trekking course equipped with visitor facilities such as a traveler center, a pedestrian bridge, and rest areas. The trail is designed with storytelling themes reflecting local culture, including Chestnut Tree Path, Maiden Boatman Path, and River Sound Path. A nearby closed school has been remodeled into traveler accommodations and a direct trade market, open to tourists. Wide gravel fields spread along the riverside, making it ideal for fishing and water play, and it is especially popular as a spot for open-field camping.
