Osaek Yongsopokpo Falls

Osaek Yongsopokpo Falls is a waterfall located in Jujeongol Valley in the southern Seoraksan area of Seoraksan National Park, with a height of approximately 10 meters and a pool depth of about 7 meters. It remains largely untouched by human hands, preserving its natural state, and the combination of the clear valley and dense forest draws many visitors. There is a legend that two thousand-year-old male and female imugi (serpents) that lived in this pool tried to ascend to heaven as dragons, but only the male succeeded, while the female, not being ready, hardened here and became the rock and waterfall.
