Bongraesan Forest Bathing Area

Bongraesan, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Yeongwol, is an 800m-high mountain and the main mountain of Yeongwol, offering excellent views in all directions. Along with hiking, visitors can enjoy forest bathing, paragliding experiences, a gliding field, and the unique experience of observing constellations in the night sky. On clear days, Woraksan Mountain is visible, and to the west, Baekdeoksan and Chiaksan's Birobong can be seen. To the north, Wantaek and Gariwangsan form a grand mountain range, standing elegantly. Natural recreation forests and forest bathing areas in Yeongwol are gaining popularity. The forest bathing area features a 1.5km circular walking trail and basic facilities such as a parking lot, as well as convenience and sports facilities including forest bathing chairs, an observatory overlooking the Yeongwol-eup town area, outdoor tables, and wooden benches. In addition, various wildflowers such as aster are planted along the forest road leading to the observatory.
