It is located at an altitude of 799.8m, the best observation condition for a public observatory, and is equipped with a main telescope with a diameter of 800mm and several auxiliary telescopes, allowing observation of the moon, planets, and stars. At the summit of Bongraesan Mountain, where the observatory is located, there is a gliding field where you can enjoy the scenery with a wide view, and the night view of Yeongwol-eup seen from the mountain top offers a unique pleasure along with astronomical observation.
