Chorigol Chogyetang

Chorigol Chogyetang was selected as Gyeonggi-do's Best Restaurant (2008) and a 100-Year-Old Store by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (2020). With a long history and tradition, it has been over 40 years since they started making chogyetang in Paju, having inherited the chicken dish secrets from their North Korean-born parents who made Pyongyang naengmyeon for four generations. Interested in chogyetang, which had lost its lineage about 100 years ago, they developed today's chogyetang based on the taste of the royal court chogyetang through hundreds of experiments and failures, eventually obtaining a patent. It has now become a famous dish that can only be enjoyed by investing time and effort. Chogyetang is an indispensable menu item as a special summer delicacy. This place is renowned for its clean taste, prepared with various fresh vegetables and well-boiled chicken, and when you order chogyetang, buckwheat pancakes are served together.
