Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Baekdo Beach is located between Sokcho and Ganseong. Baekdo Beach Camping Ground is a public campground situated in the pine forest above Baekdo Auto Camping Ground, with a public parking lot in between. It is called Baekdo Beach because there is a white rock island below Baekdo Beach. Above the beach lies the small but picturesque Baekdo Port, and below it connects to Munam Port and Munam Beach. Behind it, the Seoraksan Mountain range is silhouetted, and the dense pine forest adds to the charm. The bow-shaped white sand beach and gentle slope are ideal for swimming. Recently, many people enjoy surfing here as well. Not far from the campground are Cheonhakjeong Pavilion, Cheongganjeong Pavilion, the World Jamboree Site, Hwaamsa Temple, and Songjiho Lake.
